Abstract:
Efficient filtering is often crucial in the field of machines and devices, as the safe, reliable, and long-term as well economical operation of the entire system depends on the efficiency of the filter. This is especially true for heavily loaded hydraulic devices. In these devices, the efficiency of the filter and the ability to filter depend on various factors, on the type, structure, and shape of the filter material, as well as on the operating conditions and the type of liquid being filtered.

The paper presents the problem of compatibility of new, ionic hydraulic fluids with filter materials. Based on research related to the compatibility of filter materials with new ionic hydraulic fluids, it was realized that it is necessary to avoid the use of otherwise very efficient cellulose-based filters.
