Abstract:
\n<\/strong>A Spent Pot-Lining is waste from aluminium production and is treated as hazardous waste. Current technological solutions do not offer full reuse or recycling of waste material, which is why most of the material ends up in incinerators and landfills. The introduced innovative technology for recycling cathodic waste from aluminium production closes the material loop of the production process. Detoxified ingredients such as carbon and fireclay and fluoride salts can be used in aluminium production, the construction sector and the refractory industry.
\nThe paper describes the principle of the new technology, the design of the pilot plant and the control system, which enables efficient monitoring and control of the process with the possibility of analysing the results obtained and optimizing the technology.<\/p>\n
