<\/strong>Sustainable development and the Green Deal are very important for preserving the natural environment and improving energy efficiency. This is closely linked to the manufacturers of machinery and equipment, including the manufacturers of hydraulic drives. As part of a public tender, a pilot project was carried out to find better designs for hydraulic drives. Most losses in the hydraulic system are caused by friction and internal leakage of the pump as well as pressure losses during flow. The article describes hydraulic drive systems with constant and variable flow, pumps with constant and variable displacement, their advantages, disadvantages and limitations. The limits of the use of asynchronous and servo-controlled electric motors are described. The implementation process and the most important results of the pilot project are described below. It was found that the more expensive hydraulic control systems amortise within a few years.<\/p>\n
